I’m sure I remember reading something a little while ago about someone (a quick search tells me it’s a guy called Ted Elliott) working on a very early draft of a Monkey Island film. No matter how vocal fanboys get there’s no such thing as brand loyalty in gaming, not on a macro scale, and everyone from Sega to Microsoft would do well to remember that. It’s just an odd coincidence but I think it helps to underline that there are no certainties in the games industry and past success is no indication of future success.
